With changing trends, where children have become more vocal and extrovert, they are misbehaving as well. The new generation believes in voicing their opinion openly. On one end this is a good thing as many issues come into the open and are discussed for the betterment e.g. child sexual abuse.
\nOn the other end, children have become very blunt and tend to give less respect to their peers, domestic servants and sometimes teachers. When we tell our children, \u201cbe honest, be open, say what you want to say\u201d, we forget to warn them, \u201cbut carefully choose your words, do not hurt other people\u2019s feelings, think how you would feel if they say something harsh to you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Teach children to be kind and thoughtful<\/h3>\n

We need to encourage our children to think before they speak, put themselves in the other person\u2019s shoes before judging them and sometimes praise people to make them feel better. For example, if a sibling has not won a competition, do not make fun of his\/her project. Let them know that they did a great job but there could be only one winner.
\nBeing kind, thoughtful and compassionate towards others should be part of our children\u2019s education at home and at schools. As parents, we need to teach our children to respect their educators. A teacher may be strict, tough and sometimes unfair with your child. But you need to remind your child that the teacher is only human; they can make mistakes.<\/p>\n

The respect the teacher gets from her students is no doubt a great reward. But we are loosing that at a fast speed. We need to instill a love for our educators in our children\u2019s minds and hearts. We need to teach our children to value their teachers and treat them well.
