On the occasion of International Day of Education<\/a>, President Asif Ali Zardari emphasized the importance of responsibly integrating artificial intelligence (AI) to revolutionize Pakistan’s education system. He stressed that, in a world increasingly driven by AI, human creativity, critical thinking, and decision-making must remain at the forefront. The president pointed out that AI tools can help tailor learning experiences to individual needs, making education more personalized and effective.<\/p>\n

In his message, the president focused on the theme of the year, “AI and Education: Preserving Human Agency in a World of Automation,” calling for education to be harnessed to build a prosperous and inclusive Pakistan. He urged investment in educational infrastructure and tackling the persistent challenges facing the system. “Let\u2019s pledge to invest in our children and equip them with the skills they need,” he said, encouraging educators, policymakers, and parents to embrace AI and innovative teaching methods. AI, he noted, can enhance creativity, foster essential skills in mathematics, science, and critical thinking, and prepare students for the challenges of the future.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, also marking the International Day of Education, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to advancing an education system that embraces AI while preserving human creativity and values. He acknowledged the tireless efforts of educators and advocates in spreading knowledge and empowering communities.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on the theme, the prime minister highlighted the importance of ensuring that AI progress complements humanity\u2019s values, particularly in a world where the line between human actions and machine-driven processes continues to blur. He acknowledged both the opportunities and challenges AI presents, noting that Pakistan aims to equip its youth with the skills to thrive in a rapidly evolving technological landscape. By fostering critical thinking and ethical responsibility, the government seeks to help citizens shape technological changes in ways that reflect Pakistan\u2019s values and advance society.<\/p>\n

The prime minister also shared the government\u2019s efforts to prepare educational institutions for technological advancements, including initiatives such as High-Impact IT Labs, Digital Hubs, SMART Classrooms, and the E-Taleem Portal for blended learning. Additionally, the government has launched programs like E-Rozgar Centers, Software Technology Parks, and STEAM Labs to promote innovation and ensure schools are equipped with the latest technologies to prepare students for the future.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
