Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif<\/a> has announced a series of initiatives to support bright and deserving students, ensuring financial challenges don\u2019t hinder their education.<\/p>\n

Speaking to students at Bahauddin Zakariya University in Multan, Maryam Nawaz reassured high-achieving students of the government\u2019s commitment to their academic success. \u201cWe want our students to focus on their education, not worry about finances,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

As part of the \u201cHonhaar Scholarship Program,\u201d the Chief Minister revealed plans to expand scholarships, including opportunities for international study in the future. She also announced the distribution of laptops to facilitate learning. Notably, 60% of current scholarship recipients are women, a figure she celebrated as a testament to the achievements of female students.<\/p>\n

Maryam Nawaz also addressed broader goals for the province, including adopting electric vehicles to improve environmental sustainability. She mentioned ongoing discussions with a Chinese company to establish an electric bike manufacturing plant in Punjab.<\/p>\n

In a move to encourage entrepreneurship, the government will offer interest-free loans to deserving students, enabling them to start their own businesses after graduation. Over Rs. 100 million has been allocated for this initiative.<\/p>\n

Additionally, 30,000 students will receive scholarships, with the expectation that recipients contribute positively to society.<\/p>\n
