Kazim Mujtaba, a proud graduate of the LUMS<\/a> MBA Class of 1998 and President of Jazz’s Consumer Division, has received the esteemed Pride of LUMS Award. This honour acknowledges Kazim’s exceptional achievements to Pakistan’s telecom industry as well as his steadfast dedication to promoting creativity, inclusivity, and superior leadership.<\/p>\n

With more than 20 years of expertise, which includes positions throughout the Middle East and Africa, Kazim has played a significant role in influencing Pakistan’s digital environment. He has performed important roles since joining Jazz in 2016, including VP Marketing and VP Data Analytics. He currently manages a $1 billion portfolio, fostering expansion and introducing game-changing digital offerings.<\/p>\n

Kazim’s leadership goes beyond business accomplishments. By creating products for women and encouraging digital literacy in marginalised groups, he has supported efforts to close the digital gender gap. Through his efforts, Jazz’s ideas continue to be inclusive, enabling women to prosper in the digital economy.<\/p>\n

Kazim is a strong supporter of industry-academia cooperation, and Jazz’s affiliation with LUMS<\/a> is a prime example of his relationship with his alma university. He has addressed important issues in workplace inclusion and professional growth by creating opportunities for students to get real-world experience and build their leadership abilities through initiatives like Jazz Empower and Jazz’s Internship Program.<\/p>\n

“LUMS has always been more than an institution to me\u2014it has been a foundation of my values, a source of lifelong inspiration, and a reminder of the importance of giving back,” Kazim Mujtaba said after accepting the award. This honour is evidence of how creativity and inclusivity can change people’s lives. I am incredibly humbled and inspired to keep working towards ensuring that everyone has equal access to opportunity.<\/p>\n
