The Sindh government<\/a> has instituted a new grading scheme for matriculation and intermediate<\/a> students, substituting grades for the previous numerical system.<\/p>\n

The goal of this new system, which will go into effect in 2025, is to provide a more thorough assessment of pupils’ performance. The Inter-Board Coordination Committee (IBCC) created the system, which would determine marks based on student performance. marks below 40% will be assigned as “Unsatisfactory,” while scores of 95% or higher will be classified as “Exceptional.”<\/p>\n

First, second, and third places are eliminated under the policy, which instead focusses on offering a more complex evaluation of pupils’ talents. The following is the grading scheme:<\/p>\n

95% and above: A++ (Exceptional) 90-94%: A+ (Outstanding) 85-89%: A (Excellent) 80-84%: B++ (Very Good) 75-79%: B+ (Good) 70-74%: B (Fairly Good) 60-69%: C (Above Average) 50-59%: D (Average) 40-49%: E (Below Average) Below 40%: U (Unsatisfactory)<\/p>\n

A national committee of school board chairs made the decision in 2022 to switch the current grading scheme for grades X and XII to a 10-point system for the entire nation. The new method replaces the marking “F” (fail) with “U” (unsatisfactory), and it raises the minimum passing score from 33% to 40%.<\/p>\n

The reforms have not yet been adopted by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, or Balochistan; Sindh is the first province to embrace this method.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
