The Abu Dhabi Federal Court of Appeal<\/a> condemned a British teacher to three years in prison.<\/p>\n

The court also issued a Dh5,000 fine and ordered him deportation after serving his term.<\/p>\n

He was convicted of taking bribes from pupils at the institution where he was employed.<\/p>\n

The teacher compromised the integrity of the UAE<\/a>‘s educational system by accepting payments to rig tests and artificially enhance students’ marks.<\/p>\n

The Public Prosecution’s investigation, which produced unambiguous proof of the teacher’s misconduct, led to the court’s ruling.<\/p>\n

The teacher was put on trial in the special criminal court after the matter was referred there.<\/p>\n

Authorities are presently looking into more instances of exam irregularities and cheating.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
