The appointment of Dr. Javed Akhtar as acting vice-chancellor<\/a> of the University of Okara has been challenged in the Lahore High Court<\/a> (LHC) on Monday.<\/p>\n

Nonetheless, the motion to immediately remove Dr. Javed Akhtar from his position as vice-chancellor of the University of Okara was denied by the court.<\/p>\n

Assistant Professor Dr. Hamid Mukhtar, the petitioner, was instructed by Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh to revise his plea during Monday’s sessions because it was unmaintainable.<\/p>\n

The University of Okara was represented in court by Malik Awais Khalid Advocate.<\/p>\n

The petitioner’s attorney contended before the court that an acting vice-chancellor cannot be appointed when a pro vice-chancellor is present.<\/p>\n

Malik Awais Malik, the legal adviser for the University of Okara, disputed the petitioner Dr. Hamid Mukhtar’s status as a victim and raised objections to its maintainability.<\/p>\n

Additionally, he insisted that Punjab government was not designated a respondent in the petition.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
