The Lahore Board<\/a> has revealed the results of class nine, with a pass rate of 44.5. The results were announced by Secretary Board Bushra Bibi and Controller of Examinations Zahid Mian. Compared to last year, the results<\/a> were announced thirteen days sooner.<\/p>\n

A minimum of 287,000 applicants took part in the class nine exams, of whom 127,000 were deemed successful, yielding a 44.5 percent exam success rate. With 552 out of 555 possible points, the student from Pak Garrison Girls High School Nankana, Noor-Al-Huda, took top place on the board.<\/p>\n

As the majority of candidates failed the class nine exams, thousands of pupils applied online for a recheck of their papers at the Lahore Board.\u00a0 Over 150,000 pupils reportedly did not pass the Lahore Board’s class nine exams. With a mere 12.5% passing percentage, the History of Pakistan paper had the greatest percentage of failing students. In Islamic history, the passing percentage for children was only 45%, although 60% of kids passed in general science and 58% in general maths. Additionally, 62% of students passed the Chemistry course and 63% of the Mathematics course. In Civics, only 66% of pupils passed, and in Physics, only 69%.<\/p>\n

Until August 24, candidates may apply for rechecking. The cost of rechecking paper has gone up to Rs. 1400, though. In addition to uploading their online application and paying the cost, candidates will receive calls via SMS from the Lahore Board for a paper recheck.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
