The payment of salary to hundreds of teachers and officers at the University of the Punjab<\/a> has been delayed to an unprecedented degree due to the institution’s serious financial situation.<\/p>\n

Approximately 1,100 employees, including instructors and officials above the sixteenth grade, have not received their salaries for July for the first time in the history of the university. The affected employees are anxious and worried about this big delay.<\/p>\n

The university has historically made sure that salaries are paid out by the thirty-first of every month. Nevertheless, the university has been unable to meet this deadline because of continuous financial issues. The July pay have still not been paid as of August 8, which has put many employees in a precarious financial situation.<\/p>\n

One of the oldest and most prominent educational institutions in the nation is facing serious financial difficulties, which have been brought to light by the delay in wage payments. According to reports, faculty and staff are becoming more and more anxious about the university’s future capacity to handle its finances and fulfil its commitments. Discussions concerning the issue have arisen among the staff, with some voicing dissatisfaction and concern for the future.<\/p>\n

The University of the Punjab<\/a> is experiencing financial hardship, which highlights larger issues public sector universities have in managing their resources in the face of growing operational costs and budgetary restraints.
