With millions more expected to enter the profession in the upcoming years, the government has initiated a ground-breaking programme to digitally train<\/a> and certify the 1.8 million teachers in the country.<\/p>\n

This programme represents a major advancement for Pakistan’s education system and is spearheaded by the National Institute of Excellence in Teacher Education (NIETE)<\/a> in partnership with the LUMS School of Education.<\/p>\n

The program’s main objective is to give teachers access to cutting-edge teaching approaches and cutting-edge training and support. In addition to elevating the status of teachers as professionals, this initiative aims to promote teaching as a noble and appealing career choice for the nation’s young people.<\/p>\n

The government wants to increase the bar for all students enrolled in remote learning programmes as well as those attending public and private educational institutions, with an emphasis on enhancing the calibre of teacher preparation.<\/p>\n

Improving educational results for pupils nationwide is one of the main goals of this effort. The program’s goal is to use technology to make learning settings more dynamic and engaging, which will increase student engagement and, eventually, academic performance.<\/p>\n

Crucially, the programme is made to be inclusive and available to educators across the nation, irrespective of their geography or institutional affiliation.
