The Punjabi government has set aside Rs. 1.6 billion to give away free books to pupils in all of the province’s schools.<\/p>\n

A report claims that the budget for giving free books to kids in Punjabi schools has been released by the Finance Department to the Schools Education Department.<\/a>
\nIn contrast, the department has mandated that school administrators obtain an application for planting trees as part of an ongoing programme that involves schools in Lahore and throughout Punjab.<\/p>\n

Schools are required to send images of their on-campus tree planting initiatives<\/a> to the appropriate programme. Details about the kinds of trees that have already been planted in schools and their development will also be recorded in the application.<\/p>\n

All school heads have received a letter from the School Education Department directing them to follow the guidelines on this subject.<\/p>\n

On the occasion of the International Day of Forests, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz urged the public to support the Plant for Pakistan initiative.<\/p>\n

“Plant a tree to help clean up the environment, allow people to breathe freely, and contribute to Punjab’s continued beautification and greening of the country. “Plant a tree and eliminate the risks associated with smog,” she said.<\/p>\n

Free saplings are being given away as part of the campaign, Maryam Nawaz continued, and she urged students to take the initiative. The CM claims that GIS and QR codes will be used for the first time to keep the plantation record.<\/p>\n
