Major General (retired) Professor Dr. Muhammad Islam, the Pro-Vice Chancellor of the National University of Medical Sciences<\/a> Rawalpindi, stated that the field of medicine is a crucial means of serving humanity. However, in addition to training doctors in medical colleges, there is a need to pay special attention to new research according to the changing circumstances.<\/p>\n

He made these remarks while addressing the “White Coat” ceremony of first-year students at Aziz Fatima Medical College in Faisalabad. He mentioned that government medical colleges, despite rapidly increasing populations, were insufficient in providing basic medical facilities. However, support from private sector investments helped control the shortage of qualified and highly educated doctors.<\/p>\n

He expressed satisfaction that Aziz Fatima Medical College Faisalabad has taken key initiatives for improvement in the medical curriculum<\/a>, which will not only produce specialist doctors nationwide but also open avenues for treating newly emerging diseases through research. He emphasized that while research is a challenging, lengthy, and extremely patience-testing phase, taking the first step in this process sets the direction towards progress.<\/p>\n

Mian Muhammad Idris, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Aziz Fatima Medical College Faisalabad, extended a warm welcome to the first-year students and congratulated them on stepping into the field of public service. He highlighted the significance of the white coat in the medical profession as a symbol of dignity and respect, urging the students to uphold its values. He took the opportunity to administer an oath to the students, encouraging them to fulfill their responsibilities diligently in the pursuit of knowledge and professional endeavors.<\/p>\n

Present at the occasion were Trustee Mian Javaid Iqbal, Trustee Abdullah Javaid, Principal Professor Dr. Muhammad Saeed, Director Administration Aftab Ahmed Khan, and other faculty members.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
